Gingham lace

top: new look (generation 915), trousers: topshop

Happy summer! Well summer holidays to most of us university students that is! I have just completed my second year of my Musical Theatre degree, and have passed every module! So I am happily back home in Plymouth for 4 glorious months with my family and my boyfriend.

This is my favourite outfit at the moment, seems as if I say that with every new outfit that I post recently, but it's very true! The top is quite the godsend, another piece from the generation 915 kids section of New Look but I never have any problems with their clothing so I cannot complain about the fact I'm wearing kids clothes half the time! It's lovely for this time of year, and the crotchet detail at the bottom is a lovely touch. Now these trousers are my favourite things, I get so many nice compliments on the lovely gingham pattern, and they are perfect for this time of the year, not quite scorching weather but the bright colour and lightweight is a perfect compromise!

I hope everyone's enjoying their holidays if you're a fellow student and I hope you did well in all your exams, if not have an equally lovely week!

a summer change

jumper: oasis, sleeveless shirt: mango, floral trousers: zara

It's finally warmer! Thank goodness, I thought I'd have no time to wear all my summer clothing, but it's around 15/16 degrees, while it's not tropical yet, I'm finally able to leave my sheepskin at home and not be a shivering mess.

Mother bought this sleeveless shirt for me, apparently mango was having a mega sale and she couldn't contain herself, so she picked me up this, a top for holiday, white jeans, navy shimmery jeans (they sound rank, but they are actually brilliant) and a few other bits and bobs, which I'm sure I'll feature soon. The good old faithful floral trousers make their second appearance, they are so easy and so comfortable I can't not wear them on days like this!

I hope you're all enjoying this lovely change in weather also!

the gap fit

jumper: gap, trousers: topshop, satchel: river island

Hola kiddies! Now the weather has decided to warm up slightly outfits like this are now okay to wear out with maybe a thin jacket, rather than layer upon layer of vests, jumpers and jackets and looking like a drowned ant! Now I got this jumper from Gap at the Clarkes Shopping Village outlined in my last outfit post! I love it a lot, it worked really well with a collared shirt as a combo as well, and I love that look.

Now, these trousers are a small love affair of mine, I tried them on a while ago (when they were full price) and they didn't have my size and the 8 I tried on hanged off so I was a bit gutted, but when mother and father visited me and we strolled down Oxford St, I found them, in my size and in the sale for £20 down from £40! So I was chuffed to say the least really! I love their high waisted detail, so I can tuck jumpers or shirts in and also there's never any constant hoiking them up, which is a plus!

This satchel is my best friend at the moment, I seem to have a lot of greens in my outfits recently, so this satchel has been making a fair few appearances. My mum picked this out for me and gave it to me for Christmas, she always seems to pick up little gems for me, so I thank her for that!

When sligtly warmer I wear this without a jacket or anything, and it remains comfortable throughout the day, so I have to say, it's perfect for this time of year.

marshmallow peeps

Got an outfit post for you guys today! I wore this outfit to an SU event the other night and some guy asked me why I'd come out in my pyjamas, which I found funny and took as a lovely compliment to be honest!

crop top: new look petite, trousers: zara (sale), necklace: claires

I am in love with these trousers! I have been since the moment I picked them up, my parents came up to visit me back mid-January and we went to Oxford street and had afternoon tea in Hyde Park, such a quaint and posh afternoon, it was rather cute I must say! But honestly, they are the comfiest things I've ever worn and yet felt confident enough to wear them formal and/or casual, they are the most versatile trousers I've ever owned if I'm honest.

Now, the necklace, I went to Clarkes Shopping Village with my parents around the same time, they brought me back to Plymouth for my inter-semester break so we stopped there for the day on the way back down, and I hadn't been here since I was about 7 so obviously I barely remembered a thing, but basically it's a massive outlet shopping village, every shop has their stock discounted by anywhere from 10% to 75%, and I found some absolute bargains in this place, I bought 5 nail pens from Accessorize for around £3.90, 2 beautiful Gap jumpers for £10 each, and the Claire's within the village had 10 items for £10 which included the entire store's stock, which was brilliant, and I have picked up some lovely things which I'm sure will feature in future outfit posts!

Now I have to confess something here, I've acquired a little addiction over the past few months, and I wanted to share it with you guys in the hopes that I will come to find that I am not alone in this battle.
I, Emily Rose Perrin, am addicted to... frilly socks.

Now, this doesn't look like a large collection, but this is only about 1/4 of the frilly socks I actually own, a few pairs are in the wash, and there are definitely at least 5 pairs at home in Plymouth. I find whenever I step in to Primark/Topshop/River Island and there stands before me a pair of frilly socks which I don't own, I find myself needing, not wanting, to pick them up and buy them, I wear them everyday without fail, especially in this kind of weather, I wear them with brogues, wedges, converse, tennis pumps, like everything! And they definitely make the entire ensemble of any outfit a lot more cute, and I love that look at the moment!

Hope everyone's having a lovely Sunday!
